The Mentoring and Directing Unit (MDU) has organized the “Bridge Competition” in collaboration with the Civil Engineering students’ club on August 22, 2015. Teams of students were given wooden sticks with the aim of building strongest-possible prototype bridge.
On last week, MDU was honored by the college dean for participation in wooden bridge bompetition to head department and faculty members as well as students, who observed the bridge destructive loading test.
The contributions were spectacular and above expectations, generated the motive for organizing the event in yearly bases. The winner bridge had a mass of 1.0 kg and sustained a load of 70 kg at failure point.
