King Saud University Launches the Institutional Fund Program

              

The President of King Saud University, Prof. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, inaugurated the Institutional Fund Program for Research and Innovation, in the presence of the Vice President Prof. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman, and the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Humaizi, and the Dean of Deanship of Scientific Research Prof. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Wabel, and the Vice-Deanships; where the Deanship of Scientific Research, with the grace of God, prepared an institutional fund program supported by the Ministry of Education.  Prof. Al-Wabel stated that the Institutional Fund Program is adopted by the Ministry of Education in order to develop a map for research, development and innovation in Saudi universities to help them develop their research priorities and strategies over the next three years. He added that the University determined for the Institutional Fund Program twenty-six (26) research interests within six (6) research priorities of King Saud University, which are: Clean and sustainable energy research; Human well-being; Digital innovation; Food, water and environment research; Petrochemicals research; Science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

The Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research concluded his statement by extending his sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - for the wise management and generous support provided for scientific research in the Kingdom. He also congratulated the faculty members, researchers and students at the university on this precious occasion and emphasized the importance of active participation in the programs and initiatives of this program.
