The first institutional academic accreditation for the University was renewed in 2017 until 2024. The University is  implementing a work plan to meet the required standards for the second renewal of institutional academic accreditation, scheduled for 2024.

The institutional academic accreditation of the University brings several benefits, including:

- It serves as an important indicator of the University's ongoing developmental progress based on sound planning.

- It recognizes that the University is on the right path and heading in the right direction.

- It is a key component of a modern academic institution, confirming the level and quality of performance.

- It enhances the University's institutional reputation locally and internationally.

- It promotes the achievement of the highest quality standards in the University's educational, research, and community processes.

- It reinforces the University's efforts to continue its journey towards global leadership and excellence in building a knowledge society, in line with its approved strategic plan.

The University, represented by the Deanship of Development and Quality, has developed a specific action plan in collaboration with all University units to obtain the second renewal of institutional academic accreditation in 2024.  His Excellency the University Rector was also keen to lead a workshop to launch the work of the committees and work teams in the process of renewing the second institutional academic accreditation for the University in 2024.
