King Saud University officials recently visited three United States universities to gain knowledge and information to help improve and support KSU’s student guidance effort.

The delegation included Dr. Tareq Al-Rayes, dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Abdullah Al-Zahrani, Guidance and Counseling Center supervisor; and Drs. Nada Al-Jallal and Rouba Mouawwad.  They visited UCLA, the University of Southern California, and San Diego State University.

KSU Rector Abdullah Al-Othman and Dr. Salman Al-Salman, vice rector for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Salman arranged for this visit to help KSU  offer the best possible service to all students through the Guidance and Counseling Center. The center assists students to gain self-understanding and the understanding of others; to become self-reliant; to acquire desirable ethical and religious values; and to draft plans for post-college life.  Other services provided through the center include orientation, information, counseling, peer counseling, testing, and placement.
