Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Visits KSU

prince-badr-ksuKing Saud University Rector Badran Al-Omar welcomed Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Chairman of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) with Khalid A. Al-Hamoudi, Rector of Al-Qassim University, Abdulrahman Al-Ibrahim, Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Mohammad I. Alsaud, Deputy Minister of Water & Electricity for Water Affairs and Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh, PSIPW General Secretary at KSU.

KSU Rector Badran Al-OmarKSU Rector Al-Omar presented welcome address, in his address he said university is very pleased to have your first visit Your Highness.

Further, Rector Al-Omar stated, KSU is proud to having supervision of PSIPW. The PSIPW aims to give recognition to the efforts that scientists, inventors and research organizations around the world are making in water related fields. PSIPW acknowledges exceptional and innovative work which contributes to the sustainable availability of potable water and the alleviation of the escalating global problem of water scarcity.

Moreover, Rector Al-Omar said, KSU doing every effort to make this award inspiration for researchers and scientists in water related field. Finally, he thanked to Prince Khalid Bin Sultan and Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh for supporting KSU.

prince-badrWhile Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh informed in his speech PSIPW has already achieved many of its objectives and has honored many of the top scientists in the world and encouraged many more scientists.

The PSIPW recently organized its fifth session and awarded distinguished group of senior scientists in the world for their outstanding creative work.

Further, Al Alshaikh stated the major water problems facing large number of people, including the problem of arsenic contamination of groundwater that threatened millions of people to death in many parts of the world.

In conclusion, Prince Badr bin Sultan thanked KSU Rector for his honoring invitation and all presented members.
