Dr. Bethan Davies from University of Leeds visited KSU on April 13, 2015 to meet her student Inas Almusallam, from the College of Applied Studies and Community Service.

Dr. Davies has been welcomed by internal supervisor Dr. Manal Ismail at KSU.

In addition, Dr. Davies also presented a paper entitled "Institutional Apologies in UK Higher Education: Getting Back into the Black before Going into the Red" to KSU faculty in the linguistics seminar at the college of Arts.

It is worth mentioning, Dr. Davies having interests in language and power (particularly identity, gender and discourses of 'safety' in official literature); politeness and impoliteness, including cross-cultural approaches; pragmatics, particularly Grice and H.H. Clark.
