The 5th Coordination Meeting of Saudi Universities Endowments

On the 24 of April 2018, KSU represented by the Secretary General of Endowments, Dr. Khalid S. Al-Gahtani, participated in the Fifth Coordination Meeting of secretaries general and officials of Saudi universities endowments, which was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education, and the attendance of the Rector of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University ,Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Hamid, and 25 representatives of the Saudi university endowments at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Riyadh.

The meeting was opened by Dr. Abdulrahman Aljraiwi, the Secretary General of PSAU Endowments and head of the Secretariat of the Coordination Meeting of Saudi Universities Endowments who welcomed and thanked the attendees for participating in the meeting.

The meeting discussed four main sessions. The first session discussed the proposed recommendations to the Ministry of Education and the coordination meeting plan for the year 1440 AH. The second session included a meeting with the Governor of the General Authority of Awqaf to discuss the main recommendations and proposals that would promote the universities’ endowments and their relation with the General authority of Awqaf. The third session consisted of a workshop to discuss the needs and requirements of the emerging Saudi universities’ endowments. The closing session included a meeting with His Excellency the Rector of PSAU to discuss the issues of university endowments and ways to support and develop them.

The meeting was concluded by thanking the Rector of PSAU and the Governor of the General Authority of Awqaf for their support.
