Rector of King Saud University Inaugurates Community College New Location

Under the patronage of the rector of King Saud University, Prof. Badran Al-Omar, and with the presence of their excellencies, who left an indelible mark on the building of the Community College, either former deans or members of the Advisory Council of the College, a ceremony was held for the inauguration of the location of the Community College at King Saud University. During the ceremony, two cooperation agreements were signed, one with the General Administration of the Riyadh Reform, in the presence of the Director General of Prisons in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Asmari, President of Riyadh Chamber, Mr. Ajlan Al Ajlan, the Secretary General of the chamber, Mr. Nasser Abu Haimad, Member of the Riyadh Region, and Chairman of the Social Responsibility Committee in the Chamber, Mr. Fahad Al Hammadi. These two agreements aim to move from the concept of community service to the concept of community leadership.

Rector of King Saud University, Prof. Al-Omar, expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the inauguration of the new location of the Community College in line with the objectives of the college and the university. He thanked Prof. Abdullah Al-Zahrani, Dean of Community College, for his efforts to make the new location ready. In turn, Prof. Al-Zahrani thanked Prof. Al-Omar for his continuous support of the Community College and all the colleges at King Saud University. Prof. Al-Zahrani welcomed the rector of King Saud University and the other attendees and said, “I am pleased to welcome you all to the new location of the Community College at King Saud University.” “This location, which includes a history of science and knowledge which generations learned from and, in turn, created the generation of vision inspired by the glorious past, standing on the borders of the future, and whose aspirations know no limits under the ambitious vision of Saudi Arabia (2030).” Prof. Al-Zahrani said.

After that, the dean of Community College mentioned some achievements of the college, “the Community College has had many accomplishments such as the completion of the new strategic plan, the completion of the final procedures for the renewal of the national academic accreditation, the completion of the renewal of the ISO certificate, and the launch of the electronic archive of the college.” He also pointed out that the Community College achieved the first place for the sixth year in a row in the student and cultural activities among the colleges of the university. Finally, these efforts culminated in the inauguration of the new location of the Community College with its various buildings, halls, laboratories and grandstands.

A cooperation agreement was signed with the General Administration of Reform in Riyadh 

and Riyadh Chamber to enhance cooperation between the two
