World Social Work Day 2025 at the Female’s University Campus

In celebration of World Social Work Day, the Guidance and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Saudi Society for Social Studies, organized the World Social Work Day 2025 event under the sloagn "Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Sustainable Well-being." The event took place on Wednesday, 27 Sha'ban 1446 AH, corresponding to February 26, 2025, in the lobby of the Female University Campus.
The event featured an exhibition with participation from various university colleges, academic, psychological, and social counseling units, as well as organizations such as the elderly care association Kebar, the Ektifa Association for Family Empowerment, and the Association of Social Workers. These organizations set up interactive booths with engaging activities and valuable information, highlighting the essential role of social workers in serving the community.
Additionally, the event included a panel discussion led by psychologist Ms. Shahad Al-Aqeel, alongside a group of master's students in psychology. The discussion provided an overview of social work, its objectives, and its various fields. It also addressed the role of families in social cohesion and the transmission of traditions and values, as well as the significance of social workers in fostering intergenerational solidarity. The panel showcased notable examples of social work initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
