Department of Ophthalmology Celebrates World Sight Day with Awareness Activities at University Hospitals

The Department of Ophthalmology at the College of Medicine and King Saud University Medical City is organizing the "World Sight Day 2025" event, in collaboration with the Nursing Department and the Infection Control Department, aiming to enhance community awareness about eye health and the prevention of visual impairment.

The event will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Plaza Lobby, King Khalid University Hospital, and on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Building 3 – Ground Floor, King Abdulaziz University Hospital, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The program includes educational booths, vision screenings, and awareness activities with the participation of the department’s staff members and medical students. The event is supervised by Optometrist Ahmed Turkistani and Administrative Assistant Maram Al-Hakami from the Department’s Media Committee.
