Organized by the Female Students’ Sports Club, Dr. Al-Juffan inaugurates the World Children’s Day Charity Sports Carnival.

On the evening of Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafn, inaugurated the charitable athletic carnival for World Children’s Day, under the slogan: “A strong body, a kind heart, a bright mind, and a future awaiting me”, at Al-Azm Academy, in the presence of the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Female Students’ Affairs, Dr. Hanaa Al-Bulaihi. The event was organized by the Female Students’ Sports Club in cooperation with the Social Responsibility Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs, and was dedicated to orphaned children, with the participation of 36 children and more than 60 male and female student volunteers.

For her part, Dr. Noha Al-Shuwaier, the female students’ sports activity leader, stated that the event was held in conjunction with World Children’s Day, which falls on November 20, 2025. She explained that the club was keen to offer a special activity for orphaned children in order to bring joy and happiness to their hearts, enhance the concept of social responsibility and volunteer work among female students, develop children’s motor and creative skills in a safe and enjoyable way, support social integration, and build positive communication between children and volunteers. She also noted the virtue of caring for orphans in Islam, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The one who cares for an orphan and I will be in Paradise like these two.”

She pointed out that the event included four stations:

  1. (Strong Body) — featuring football and basketball matches for children with the participation of volunteers and certified trainers from Al-Azm Academy; in addition to a virtual reality corner and jump-rope activities to promote physical activity.
  2. (Kind Heart) — which included three sections: the “Little Doctor” corner to teach children how to find the carotid pulse and listen to heartbeats with a stethoscope; the paper art (origami) station to develop creative skills; and the “Writing Letters to Themselves or Their Loved Ones” station to promote positive expression.
  3. (Bright Mind) — which included a scientific experiments corner where children learned three fun experiments to teach natural phenomena: the color volcano experiment, the rain cloud experiment, and the soap and black pepper experiment to demonstrate the importance of washing hands with soap and water; in addition to the interactive storytelling corner with a puppet theater to promote critical thinking and instill values.
  4. (My Future Awaits Me) — which included a drawing and creativity station where children decorated a paper bag with colors and stickers and drew themselves in the future profession they aspire to; then took instant photos in the outfit of that future profession as a keepsake to motivate their ambitions.

Light carnival snacks were offered to the children, along with face painting (clown-style) to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement. At the end of the event, commemorative gifts were distributed to the children.

She concluded by emphasizing the generous support provided by the sponsors, namely: Al-Azm Academy, Ensan Association, Homee Daycare, Boston Scientific, Mr. Crisp, and Just Chill.
