“On behalf of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Al-Fadda inaugurates the Fifth Annual Orthopedic Research Forum.”

On behalf of the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Asim bin Abdulaziz Al-Fadda, inaugurated this morning the Fifth Annual Orthopedic Research Forum in Hall Q at the West Building of the College of Medicine.
The forum was organized by the Department of Orthopedic Surgery with the aim of enhancing research quality, advancing clinical services in line with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery, and strengthening opportunities for scientific collaboration among specialists. The event was attended by a distinguished group of experts and researchers, faculty members, consultants, specialists, fellowship and board physicians, interns, and medical students in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

In his speech, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Asim Al-Fadda, emphasized the importance of research forums in motivating researchers and supporting the scientific research environment. He noted their role in contributing to the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and in reinforcing King Saud University’s position as a leading global institution.

During the opening, Professor Dr. Ahmed Bahammam delivered an inspiring lecture in which he shared his notable experience in the fields of research and sleep medicine. The forum also included presentations of scientific research in orthopedic surgery, featuring contributions from undergraduate students, graduate students, and subspecialty trainees.
The presented papers ranged from recent studies to comparative analyses of surgical outcomes both locally and internationally, reflecting the department’s advancing research trajectory and its commitment to aligning with global best medical practices.
The research submissions were evaluated by Professor Dr. Ali Semeili, former Chair of the Department of Pathology and a faculty member at the College of Medicine.

At the conclusion of the event, the winning research projects were honored, along with distinguished fellowship and board physicians for their excellence in patient care and teaching, in addition to recognizing the graduating trainees from the department’s programs — highlighting the significance and academic value of the occasion.
