University Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security

In the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security, Eng. Aali bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, King Saud University—represented by the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies—signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by Acting President of King Saud University, Professor Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Masmali, while Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulqader Al Abu Issa, Deputy Governor of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security, signed on behalf of the Commission. The signing ceremony took place at the university headquarters.

The memorandum aims to strengthen integration between the two entities in the provision of specialized studies, research, and consulting services in administrative and strategic fields. It also includes cooperation in organizing conferences, forums, and specialized workshops, as well as building and developing human capacities for the Authority’s staff and the national industrial security ecosystem. This collaboration aligns with labor market needs in the three core areas of industrial security: security, safety, and fire protection.

The Acting President of King Saud University affirmed that the memorandum reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to establish effective strategic partnerships, support scientific research and consulting studies, and reinforce its role as a national center of expertise that contributes knowledge and experience to support decision-making in vital sectors, particularly industrial security.

For his part, His Excellency the Governor of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security expressed his pride in this partnership with King Saud University, represented by the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies. He emphasized its importance in enabling strategic partnerships and strengthening cooperation within the operational ecosystem. He noted that the memorandum will contribute to knowledge exchange, human capacity building, and the professionalization of security and safety occupations, as well as the development of specialized and accredited programs and diplomas in industrial security, including areas related to chemical materials management.

This memorandum is part of the university’s broader efforts to expand strategic partnerships and support research, training, and capacity building in industrial security, contributing to the development of national competencies. It also aligns with the role of the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security in enhancing human capabilities, supporting the safety and security of vital sectors, and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program.
