Under the Patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, the College Honors Graduates of the Medical Fellowship and Diploma Programs for 2025

The College of Medicine at King Saud University, represented by the Center for Postgraduate Medical Studies, honored the graduates of the medical fellowship and diploma programs for the year 2025 under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen. The ceremony was held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in the college’s main grand hall, in the presence of several academic leaders and faculty members.
The event marked an extension of the participation of fellowship and diploma graduates in King Saud University’s 2026 graduation ceremony, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region. The recognition came within an advanced training system supervised by the Center for Postgraduate Medical Studies, which includes more than 130 training programs and over 1,000 trainees across various general and specialized medical fields.
Statistics from the center for 2025 showed the graduation of 359 male and female graduates, including 162 graduates from board programs, 147 graduates from fellowship programs, and 50 graduates from diploma programs across several medical and health specialties.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem followed by verses from the Holy Quran. This was followed by a speech from the Director of the Center for Postgraduate Medical Studies, Dr. Riyadh bin Nasser Al-Suhaili, who emphasized that medicine is a noble humanitarian mission that goes beyond the boundaries of a profession. He encouraged graduates to continue their scientific and professional contributions and to uphold their national and humanitarian responsibilities in serving patients and society.
The Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Asim bin Abdulaziz Al-Fadda, also delivered a speech highlighting the college’s commitment to developing postgraduate medical programs, enhancing the environment for research and innovation, and supporting national competencies in a way that contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and aligning with national healthcare objectives.
The speeches concluded with remarks by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafen, who congratulated the graduates on this occasion. He stressed that their achievement represents the result of years of dedication and hard work, and that the college’s graduates constitute a fundamental pillar in the future of healthcare and partners in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. He encouraged them to continue pursuing academic and professional excellence and to serve the nation with competence and responsibility. He also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the university administration, the university medical city, faculty members, and program directors in the success of the college’s medical training system.
Following the speeches, a visual presentation highlighting the center’s programs and achievements was presented, followed by the honoring of graduates and a commemorative group photo.
This recognition reflects the continued role of the College of Medicine in developing postgraduate medical education programs and enhancing the quality of specialized medical training, contributing to the preparation of qualified national healthcare professionals who support the healthcare sector and align with national health development goals.
