The Dean’s Award Ceremony Honors Outstanding Students
Under the patronage of Acting President of King Saud University, Professor Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Masmali, and in the presence of Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Nasser Al-Daghri, university vice presidents, deans, faculty members, and parents, the Deanship of Student Affairs represented by its dean Professor Dr. Ali Aldalbahi, and its vice dean for student services Professor Dr. Talal Al-Huzaimi, held the 18th Dean’s Award Ceremony for Outstanding Students (Academic Year 1446 AH). The ceremony took place on Thursday, October 16, 2025 (24 Rabi‘ Al-Akhir 1447 AH) at Hamad Al-Jasir Hall for male students and the Main Auditorium – Building 26 for female students.
A total of 115 male students and 90 female students from various colleges were honored in recognition of their academic excellence and outstanding achievements. The event began with the Saudi national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, and a welcome speech expressing the university’s pride in its distinguished students who have made excellence a path and knowledge a tool for contribution and progress. A video presentation introduced the Dean’s Award as a symbol of academic distinction and university motivation, followed by a speech by Professor Dr. Nasser Al-Daghri, Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, who affirmed that the award reflects the university’s vision of promoting academic excellence and inspiring creativity among students.
In the female students’ section, Professor Dr. Gazeal Al-Aisa, Advisor to the University President for Female Campus Affairs, Professor Dr. Noura Al-Kubaisi, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, and Professor Dr. Alanoud Alfaghom, Director of the Gifted and Outstanding Students Program, presented awards to the female honorees. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards and group photos in a celebratory atmosphere filled with pride and joy, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting and motivating high-achieving students.
The Dean’s Award is one of King Saud University’s leading initiatives, aiming to encourage academic excellence, foster positive competition, and instill values of creativity and responsibility within the university community. It plays a key role in preparing a distinguished generation capable of contributing to the Kingdom’s national development goals and Saudi Vision 2030.
