Opening of the 10th Saudi Conference of the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society

The 10th Saudi Conference of the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society was inaugurated this morning, Friday, November 21, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, with the participation of leading pediatric neurology specialists from within the Kingdom and abroad. The three-day conference brings together experts to discuss the latest advances in the field.

The ceremony began with the Saudi national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. The Conference Chair, Dr. Mohammed Al-Omari, Consultant in Pediatric Neurology at King Fahd University Hospital, then delivered a speech in which he thanked the attendees and participating guests from inside and outside the Kingdom. He highlighted the conference’s significant role and impact on the pediatric neurology specialty over the past ten years, noting the remarkable development achieved in this field. He also expressed his appreciation for the support of the Society’s President, Professor Fahad Al-Besheiri, along with pediatric neurology experts from Gulf and international institutions, emphasizing the importance of scientific exchange through the conference’s sessions and presentations.

Following that, Dr. Fahad Al Bashiri, President of the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society, delivered a speech in which he thanked the organizing committee and the sponsoring companies, welcomed all attendees, and praised the Society’s efforts as it continues to advance confidently toward achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. He noted the Society’s remarkable achievements in expanding volunteer participation and reaching its targeted numbers. He concluded by thanking his colleagues in the Society, the Conference Chair Dr. Mohammed Al-Omari, and all participating speakers.

A documentary film highlighting the Society’s 2025 achievements was then presented. At the end of the ceremony, distinguished physicians in the field of pediatric neurology were honored for their exemplary contributions and impactful service to the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society.
