Dr. Hamza bin Mohammed Al-Rabie
Associate Professor and Consultant of Orthopedic Surgery and Limb Deformity Correction

The book “Limb Deformities” has recently been published by Dr. Hamza bin Mohammed Al-Rabie, Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the College of Medicine at the University, and issued by King Saud University Press as a specialized scientific publication that represents a qualitative addition to the Arabic medical library.

The book presents precise and contemporary scientific content on limb deformities affecting humans, supported by illustrative examples and diagrams, making it an important reference for medical students, healthcare practitioners, and researchers in the fields of orthopedic surgery and deformity correction, particularly in light of the limited number of specialized Arabic references in this field.

The publication is distinguished by a simplified scientific style that balances academic depth with ease of presentation, as the author was keen to simplify medical concepts and terminology without compromising scientific accuracy, relying on reliable and accredited scientific sources.

The book also reviews the journey of a patient with limb deformities from the onset of the condition, including an introduction to its causes and symptoms, mechanisms of medical evaluation, appropriate diagnostic methods, and reaching treatment and rehabilitation options, in addition to discussing potential complications and ways to manage them.

This publication comes as part of the contributions of the University’s College of Medicine in supporting scientific research and academic publishing, and in enhancing specialized Arabic medical content in line with scientific developments, contributing to the advancement of medical education and healthcare practice.
