Dean of the College of Medicine Honors the Recipients of the Dean’s List for the Academic Year 2025/2026

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafn, honored male and female internship-year students who won the Dean’s List for the academic year 2025/2026, in recognition of their academic excellence and distinction in student, research, and community activities. This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and encouraging creativity and leadership among its students. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Issam Al-Fadda, the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Prof. Mona bint Mohammed Suleiman, and the Vice Dean for Female Students’ Affairs, Dr. Hanaa Al-Bulaiehi.
The list included the following students: Abdullah Saud Al-Dughaither, Khaled Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Abdulrahman Yousef Al-Humailey, Abdulmalik Abdulaziz Al-Duraibi, Salem Mansour Abu Khinjar, Ali Alaa Basfar, Abdullah Saad Al-Ibrahim, Khaled Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi; and the students: Renad Musaed Al-Hussein, Lin Sulaiman Al-Hudlaq, Alaa Ibrahim Al-Muajil, Shahad Abdulhamid Al-Muqbil, Sarah Abdulaziz Al-Hamlān, and Sarah Adeeb Al-Humaidhi.
Dr. Al-Jafn explained that the Dean’s List is part of the College of Medicine’s initiatives aimed at encouraging students to achieve comprehensive excellence throughout their educational journey, developing their abilities in teamwork, initiative, and community service, and contributing to the preparation of academically and professionally qualified medical cadres capable of supporting the University’s educational and societal objectives. The nomination mechanism was based on precise criteria that included academic performance, participation in student activities, community service, research and scientific achievements, and recognized medals and awards.
For her part, the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Prof. Mona bint Mohammed Suleiman, stated that the selection process was conducted according to clear and fair regulations and standards, following a comprehensive review of the applicants’ files from internship-year students. She emphasized that the Dean’s List represents a qualitative incentive to promote positive competition, support pathways of academic and research excellence, and encourage students’ active engagement in university and community activities. The list included a number of male and female students who achieved the highest scores based on the approved selection criteria, after completing nomination procedures, reviewing violations and academic records, and approving the final results for the academic year, as endorsed by the competent committee and approved by the College Council. She affirmed that this initiative is an extension of the College’s mission to nurture talented and outstanding students and motivate them to achieve comprehensive excellence academically, behaviorally, and in research, thereby enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and reinforcing values of discipline, innovation, and social responsibility within the university environment.
