In the Presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Committee for Supporting High-Achieving and Creative Students Hosts the Director of the Innovation Center at the Entrepreneurship Institute

In the presence of Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafn, Dean of the College of Medicine, the Committee for Supporting High-Achieving, Creative, and Inventive Students convened on the morning of Sunday, 15 February 2026, in the Departments Council Hall. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Mona bint Mohammed Suleiman, Vice Dean of the College for Academic Affairs.
The committee hosted Dr. Hanan Al-Otaibi, Director of the Innovation Center at the University’s Entrepreneurship Institute, and Dr. Saleh Al-Hajji, Director of the Medical Technology Innovations Unit. The meeting was attended by committee members, representatives of the Student Council, and class leaders from among male and female students of the College.
The session reviewed the opportunities and programs offered by the Innovation Center to university students, as well as mechanisms for leveraging these initiatives to support entrepreneurial ventures and transform ideas into scalable and sustainable projects, thereby fostering a culture of innovation within the university environment.
Participants also discussed strategies to motivate students to engage in innovation programs and to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities across the University, with the aim of empowering student talents and advancing pathways of excellence and creativity.
The meeting reflects the College’s commitment to cultivating an innovation-driven environment and enabling students to capitalize on high-impact opportunities that enhance their entrepreneurial and academic competencies.
