College of Medicine Advisory Council Holds Its First Meeting to Discuss Strategic Plans and Strengthen Leadership and Excellence.

Chaired by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, the College Advisory Council held its meeting yesterday, Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the College, with the participation of a distinguished group of academic leaders and local and international experts, including: His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Yahya Al-Shahri, former President of Northern Borders University; His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Abdulaali, Assistant Minister of Health; Prof. Judy McKimm from Swansea University, United Kingdom; Prof. Robson Capasso from Stanford University, United States of America; Prof. Ayman bin Asaad Abdo, Chief Executive Officer of Dr. سليمان Faqeeh Hospital; Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Rajhi, Chief Executive Officer of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital; Dr. Ayman bin Samih Al-Khadra, Chief Medical Officer at Sulaiman Al Habib Group; Dr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Amro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maharah Human Resources Company; and Dr. Batool bint Mohammed Baz, Vice President for the Health Sector at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
The Council discussed performance indicators related to the College’s strategic plan and reviewed a number of developmental initiatives and future opportunities aimed at advancing academic programs, strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem, and expanding local and international partnerships, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and healthcare services.
The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals that support the implementation of the College’s strategic plans and enhance its academic, research, and community impact in alignment with the objectives of King Saud University and Saudi Vision 2030.
