Dean of the College of Medicine Dr. Bandar Al-Jufan Honors the Women Students Sports Club Following Its Achievement of the 2026 Sports Excellence Shield

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jufan, honored the College’s Women Students Sports Club in his office in recognition of its achievement in winning the 2026 Sports Excellence Shield and securing first place at the university level. This accomplishment reflects the club’s excellence and leadership in promoting sports activities and fostering a university environment that encourages competition and achievement. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mona bint Mohammed Suleiman, the Vice Dean for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Hanaa bint Mohammed Al-Bulaihi, and the Supervisor of Women Students’ Sports Activities, Dr. Noha Al-Shuwair.

During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Jufan praised the efforts of the club’s staff and students, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the institutional approach adopted by the College in supporting student activities and the successes that have contributed to showcasing students’ talents and developing their athletic and leadership capabilities.

This achievement crowned a successful season during which the Women Students Sports Club organized 50 diverse events, including 25 individual and team sports activities inside and outside the university, in addition to 11 recreational events, 7 social events, 4 cultural and awareness activities, and 3 community initiatives. These efforts contributed to expanding student participation and promoting a culture of sports, health, and quality of university life.

This recognition reflects the College of Medicine’s ongoing commitment to supporting extracurricular activities and empowering female students to actively participate in sports, cultural, and community programs, thereby enriching their university experience and contributing to the development of well-rounded individuals capable of excellence and meaningful contribution.
