Under the Patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, the College of Medicine Celebrates the Graduation of 264 Students from the 65th Male Graduating Class and the 62nd Female Graduating Class

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, the College of Medicine at King Saud University celebrated the graduation of 264 male and female students as part of the 65th graduating class of male students and the 62nd graduating class of female students. Two separate ceremonies were held on Thursday and Friday, June 25–26, 2026, at Hamad Al-Jasser Hall in the University Atrium, attended by Their Excellencies, parents, former deans of the College, vice deans, faculty members, and a number of officials and guests. The occasion marked the culmination of years of academic study and clinical training and celebrated the graduation of a new generation of physicians who will serve the nation and society.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, emphasized that graduation is one of the most significant milestones in a person’s life and the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. He expressed his pride in the academic achievements of the graduates and praised the determination and commitment they demonstrated throughout their educational journey. He noted that medicine is a noble humanitarian mission before it is a profession, and that today the graduates carry the responsibility of serving and caring for humanity. He encouraged them to continue pursuing knowledge, uphold the ethics of the medical profession, develop their skills, and keep pace with scientific advancements so that they may serve as distinguished ambassadors for the College of Medicine and King Saud University while contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing the quality of healthcare in the Kingdom. He added that graduation is not the end of the journey but the true beginning of a lifelong path of excellence and service, expressing his confidence that the graduates of the College of Medicine will continue making a positive impact in the healthcare sector and will live up to the trust placed in them by their nation, university, and college through their knowledge, competence, and professional and humanitarian values. Dr. Al-Jafen also acknowledged the significant role played by the graduates’ families, emphasizing that this success was achieved, by the grace of Allah, through the unwavering support, care, and sacrifices of parents throughout the years of study. He also expressed his appreciation to the administration of King Saud University for its continuous support of medical education, and to the College’s vice deans, department chairs, faculty members, consultants, physicians, and the staff of the College and the University Medical City for their efforts in preparing and qualifying a generation of competent national physicians capable of continuing the journey of excellence and service.

During the female graduates’ ceremony, the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Hanaa bint Mohammed Al-Bulaihi, delivered the College’s address, congratulating the graduates on this occasion. She emphasized that the day represents the culmination of years of perseverance and dedication and the beginning of a new stage of professional and humanitarian responsibility. She encouraged the graduates to continue striving for academic excellence, adhere to the ethics of the medical profession, carry the noble mission of medicine with sincerity, and contribute to serving the nation and advancing its healthcare system.

The two ceremonies featured a diverse program that began with the Royal Anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, the graduates’ procession, the Dean’s address, the College’s address during the female graduates’ ceremony, and the screening of the graduation film highlighting the graduates’ academic journey. Graduate Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Munai delivered the graduates’ speech, while graduate Raneem bint Hassan Al-Watban addressed the female graduates. On behalf of their fellow graduates, they expressed their deepest gratitude to Allah Almighty, followed by their appreciation to their parents, faculty members, and everyone who contributed to their educational journey. They affirmed that graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility, lifelong learning, dedicating knowledge to serving patients and society, and carrying the noble mission of medicine with sincerity and integrity.

Both ceremonies included the recitation of the Physician’s Oath in a moment that reflected the greatness of the mission entrusted to physicians as they embark on their professional careers. The graduates affirmed their commitment to the ethics of the medical profession, preserving its honor, serving patients and society with sincerity, and upholding the humanitarian values upon which the medical profession is founded.

The ceremonies concluded with the honoring of the graduates in a celebratory atmosphere filled with pride and joy, attended by parents who shared in their sons’ and daughters’ achievement. The occasion reflected the strong partnership between the family and the College in making this accomplishment possible and celebrated the graduation of a new generation of future physicians who are expected to play a vital role in serving the nation, enhancing the quality of healthcare, and contributing to the achievement of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2023.
