Under the Patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafen, the Medical Club Honors Outstanding Students and the Winners of the Dean’s Award for Qur’an Memorization and Celebrates a Year of Achievements Reaching More Than 50,000 Benef

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, the Medical Club celebrated the conclusion of its activities and programs for the academic year yesterday, Sunday, June 28, 2026, in the Grand Main Hall of the College. The event highlighted the achievements of a year filled with programs, initiatives, and accomplishments that benefited more than 50,000 individuals. It also included the recognition of distinguished students, members of the Executive Council, and specialty groups, in addition to honoring the winners of the Dean of the College of Medicine Award for Qur’an Memorization. The ceremony was attended by the College’s vice deans, faculty members, administrative staff, student group supervisors, and male and female students.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, emphasized that the Medical Club has become an effective model for developing student leaders, enhancing skills, and fostering initiative and teamwork. He noted that the distinguished programs, community initiatives, and active participation achieved throughout the year reflect the awareness and ambition of the College’s students. He stressed that an outstanding physician is not shaped by scientific knowledge alone, but also by leadership, volunteerism, and teamwork. He affirmed that student activities are an integral part of the educational experience and contribute to preparing physicians with communication skills, innovation, and professionalism alongside scientific competence. Dr. Al-Jafen added that this year’s accomplishments mark the beginning of a new journey of excellence, encouraging students to preserve their passion, invest their talents, make every opportunity a starting point for creativity, and view every challenge as motivation for success. He also expressed his appreciation to the Medical Club administration, organizing committees, faculty members, supporting organizations, and every student who contributed to the success of the Club’s programs and activities, emphasizing that great achievements are the result of teamwork and belief in a shared mission.

The ceremony reviewed the Medical Club’s accomplishments throughout the academic year, reflecting the breadth of its academic and community impact. The Club implemented more than 100 awareness campaigns, organized more than 60 workshops and 20 training courses, participated in more than 10 conferences, provided 3,506 volunteer opportunities, and reached more than 50,000 beneficiaries through its programs and initiatives. It also organized two religious events, reflecting its mission of promoting medical knowledge, strengthening social responsibility, and developing leadership and volunteer skills among the College’s students.

The ceremony included a speech by the Medical Club Supervisor, followed by a presentation of the Club’s key achievements delivered by the Medical Club President, student Saad Al-Anqari, under the segment titled Makers of Impact. This was followed by the recognition of Executive Council members and specialty groups, the announcement of the Excellence Award winners, and the honoring of the recipients of the Dean of the College of Medicine Award for Qur’an Memorization. The event concluded with a group photograph in an atmosphere reflecting a strong sense of belonging and pride in the outstanding initiatives and achievements of the College’s students.

The Club also praised the role of its success partners, including academic and healthcare institutions, scientific societies, government and private sector organizations, as well as student specialty groups, whose contributions to implementing scientific, educational, and volunteer programs throughout the year enhanced the quality of the Club’s initiatives and expanded their impact both within and beyond the College.
