Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafen, Welcomes Students Participating in the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Summer Program

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Jafen, accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mona bint Mohammed Suleiman, welcomed students participating in the Mawhiba Summer Program as part of the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The visit took place at the College’s Experimental Surgery and Laboratory Animal Center as part of the strategic partnership between King Saud University and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).
During the visit, the students explored scientific and practical content covering the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, presented by a distinguished group of faculty members. The program aimed to enhance their scientific knowledge, develop their practical skills, and strengthen their interest in health-related disciplines.
Dr. Al-Jafen welcomed the participating students, emphasizing the College of Medicine’s commitment to supporting and nurturing gifted students by providing a stimulating educational environment that fosters their scientific abilities and encourages their passion for medical sciences, research, and innovation.
This visit is part of the Mawhiba Summer Program, implemented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with King Saud University. The program aims to provide high-quality enrichment opportunities that contribute to identifying and nurturing gifted students, preparing them for the future, and enabling them to explore promising scientific fields.
