Dr. Jaber Eid Abu Qudeiri from Advance Manufacturing Institute (AMI) presented a lecture on his recently conducted a study on "Developing and Evaluation an Intelligent Generation System for CNC Programs”. Dr. Abu Qudeiri introduced the development methodology and the modules of the proposed system in his lecture, in addition to the Important of the system in production efficiency and cost especially in high volume industries.
In addition, Dr. Abu Qudeiri also described the different modules of the proposed system including a Hole Cutting Operations Sequence Optimizer which find the optimal sequence of operations in all machine tools in production system by incorporating of genetic algorithm and the Canned Cycles Selection module that can select suitable canned cycle based in the type and parameters of required operation.
The lecture was attended by students, researchers and faculties.
