The Obesity Research Center had concluded The Biomedical Research Training Program- 2016 under the patronage of Dr. Abdulrahman Al Muammar the CEO of King Saud University (KSU) Medical City, and Prof. Dr. Fahd Al Zamil, the Dean of the College of Medicine, KSU.

The Program included a crash course on theoretical principles and training sessions on both basic and advanced techniques in molecular biology. The Program gave an excellent opportunity to the participants that included scientists, research scholars, technicians and physicians from KSU and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) to explore more on the techniques used in molecular biology.

Prof. Assim Alfadda, director of the Obesity Research Center and the organizer of the Program, said that the center do organize these training programs every year as an extension of its role in serving the community and motivating the students to pursue the academic careers in research.

The participants of the Program expressed their profound satisfaction for being a part pf the program. The participants also added that the Program helped them significantly to procure new theoretical and practical information’s and skills applied in the field of molecular biology and biological research.

It is worth mentioning that the Obesity Research Center at KSU is a specialized research centers supported by KSU and The National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation Program, KACST.
