Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) participated at the 2nd International Conference on C4I solutions that was held from 17-19 October 2017 at KSU, under the patronage of H.R.H Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The theme of this year’s conference was “Alliance again Terrorism… Capabilities and Strategies”. 

This conference was organized to discuss the role of command and control centers in combating conventional and unconventional terrorism, and their alliances relying on advanced integration systems for complex operations and command, control, communications, and cyber security etc. 

 Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, a source of cyber security research and academics in Saudi Arabia, was one of the co-organizers of this overwhelming event and participated under the leadership of Dr. Jalal Al-Muthdi, the Director of CoEIA. 

 The opening ceremony was honored by the Chief of General Staff of Royal Saudi Armed Forces, General Abdul Rahman bin Saleh al-Bunyan, The Minister of Communications and IT, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawahah, The Rector of KSU, Prof. Dr. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, and Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Abdullah S. Alghamdi. 
 CoEIA also participated at the parallel exhibition held in conjunction with this conference and displayed its innovations, services, and products to the visitors. 
 
Prof. Muhammad Khurram Khan, a Professor of Cybersecurity from CoEIA, was invited as a panelist at this conference to share his insights and experience on the strategies to combat Cyberterrorism and crisis management. Prof. Khurram, during his speech, highlighted challenges to the global cyber-peace and underscored the importance of building a robust and resilient cybersecurity ecosystem in the Kingdom. He discussed that building a local Cyber industry in the Kingdom would help to achieve goals set in the Saudi Vision 2030. Furthermore, he explained that by leveraging the cybersecurity, a large number of jobs and opportunities can be created in the Kingdom for a sustainable national growth. 
 The conference was attended by a large number of attendees, including senior military officers from Saudi Armed Forces, public and private sector organizations, global and regional C4I solutions’ and systems’ developers and providers, IT and telecom operators, energy, other companies, etc. Moreover, academic and research institutions also took part in this remarkable event.
