Within the framework of the College of Architecture and Planning to prepare cadres qualified for the labor market of its students, by providing a stimulating environment for learning and creativity, by providing students with the necessary skills, tools and techniques to practice the profession of architecture and planning to take advantage of all the possibilities and methods available at the university, the Building Modeling Course was conducted using the Architectural Revit Program with the support and sponsorship of the Deanship of Skills Development and the supervision of Vice Dean for Academic Affairs represented by the Field Training Unit, from 20/5/1440 to 4/7/1440 with a total of (42) training hours, during which the students learned most of the skills needed for the Architectural Revit Program in architectural and construction of their projects, where Students learned how to model building information by exploring basics such as walls, columns, doors and windows, as well as floors and ceilings, and how these shapes overlap with other architectural elements in proper ways.

The course dealt with a modeling mechanism for the different systems of the building (structural system, air conditioning system, health system and lighting system) as well as the modeling of the changing architectural blocks, in addition to the methods of annotating the projects through texts, dimensions and other standard architectural symbols, direct tables of building elements to access important design information and complete details, and finish printing all documents for the building.

The RIVET program is one of the most important architectural design programs and represents the digital language of design processes. It has become a widely used application for architects and building design engineers. It is characterized by dealing with the integrated design and construction system as well as its speed in the design and presentation of facades, Setting the dimensions and drawing the axes, building the stairs and the work of the different levels, and establishing inventory tables for the architectural components, which comprise the project, and also in the work of the operational drawings, and has a very high capacity for the work of architectural designs for any mass irrespective of however complicated.

The course witnessed a distinguished presence, during which the students applied everything they took to their current studies. At the end of the seven-week course, Dr. Abdullah Al-Thabet, Dean of the College, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Deanship of Skills Development and its employees, represented by Dr. Adel Bashath for his Support and care for such specialized courses for students, in order to prepare the students with appropriate specialized and applied skills that will benefit them in their professional career to meet the needs of the labor market, urging students to take advantage of the possibilities and means provided by the university and  Deanship of Skills Development. He also praised the efforts made by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs represented by the Field Training Unit in the follow-up and supervision of the courses.
