KSU Women Players Wins Basketball and Tennis Championships
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, King Saud University crowned champion in two different sports, within the Second Saudi Universities Sports Federation Championship for female university teams, hosted by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The KSU female team won The Women's Basketball Championship Cup, and Tennis Championship Cup. This victory comes as a result of the great effort and dedication of the team members, and the continuous support of the University to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 and support women's sports.
The Head of the Sports Club in Female Student Campus, Ms. Samia Al-Fawwaz, expressed her feelings of victory, stressing the importance of this achievement that reflects dedicated hard work by the team and the determination to achieve one goal, which is raising the name of King Saud University globally.
The Teams include students who shared their passion for sports. They were carefully selected by a specialized committee through qualifiers and friendly matches with between Colleges. King Saud University women's basketball team was crowned champion with a score of 60 goals against 39 for Taibah University in the final. It is noteworthy that several highly-skilled KSU players are being negotiated to join the Saudi Basketball team.
