King Saud University hosted Prince Salman, Governor of the Riyadh region, yesterday, when he presided over a meeting of the Higher Committee for the KSU Endowment project. On this occasion, the Prince formally approved the proposal for the Endowment project, while Rector Abdullah Al-Othman expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for his blessings of the project. Dr. Al-Othman noted that the Prince's commitment and backing will provide the University with the financial support needed to ensure the Endowment's completion.
The aim of the University Endowment project is to strengthen the University's financial resources, which are vital for developing internationally competitive academic and research programs and activities at the University. This include increased employment budgets, attracting international academics and experts and expanding the University's infrastructure.
Dr. Al-Othman closed his speech stating that members of the Higher Committee for the University Endowment, including prominent scientists and businessmen, will have a supervisory and guiding role over the policies of Endowment project's, which are being created to realize the noble ambitions of this great university.
