Last week, King Saud University Rector Abdullah Al-Othman inaugurated the University's 1st Saudi Innovation Exhibition, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for the Gifted (the Mawhiba Foundation).
Many government and private institutions interested in providing valuable opportunities for Saudi Arabia's gifted and most creative students provided the event with enthusiastic financial and moral support, while Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obeid, Saudi Minister of Education and Deputy Chairman of Mawhiba, attended the event on behalf of the Ministry. As many as 60 Saudi inventors covering a variety of specializations participated in the Exposition. Prof. Ali Al-Ghamdi, Deputy Rector for Branch Affairs at King Saud University familiarized the Minister with the University's booth and its features, which included presentations on King Saud University and its developmental programs, as well as displays of the University's notable achievements, publications and an impressive array of student projects illustrating the giftedness and creativity of KSU University students.
