On Monday, Dr. Mezyad Al-Terkawi, Executive Director of the Riyadh Technology Incubation Center (RTIC) and Mohammed Al-Khamis, Operations Manager of the University’s Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing (IPTL) Program, received a delegation from the Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Group, one of the leading trading groups in Saudi Arabia, as well as a leader in the field of developing social and community programs.
The delegation, attending on behalf of the Abdul Latif Jameel Community Service Programs (ALJCSP), were first briefed about RTIC’s history, mission and innovative spirit, which are all vital elements for establishing the Kingdom’s knowledge economy; next, Dr. Al-Terkawi met with the delegation, including Ali Al-Qahtani, ALJ Director-General of the Central Region, and Faisal Al-Anzi of Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), an affiliate of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), to discuss means of strengthening ties between the ALJ Group and the KSU Incubation Center. The RTIC director emphasized the importance of the ALJ Group’s support of Saudi businesses, innovators and start-up companies in various technical areas, which will ultimately benefit the national economy.
Al-Terkawi expressed his thanks to delegation and said that he hoped for more future meetings and collaboration in order to develop invaluable community partnership programs between King Saud University and public and private stakeholders.
