Students and faculty representing King Saud University’s Preparatory Year (PY) Program recently participated in the 13th Gulf Forum for GCC Youth, held at the King Faisal Sports City Theatre in Jazan.

The event, sponsored by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), was dubbed “Youth, Gulf History and Community”, and featured cultural events, leadership training, sports, and theatrical performances.

Around 250 male and female students representing various universities and associations around the Gulf region attended.

The Forum emphasized the values ​​of maintaining the security of GCC nations, discussing the dangers of extremist ideas, and also showed students how they can play important and positive roles in their Gulf nations.

The Forum also highlighted the great potential of the Gulf region’s youth, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the youth of the various GCC nations, while seminars provided participants with examples of people and organizations that have been positive agents for change in the Gulf.

Opening the ceremonies was HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, governor of Jazan region.
