The Department of Radiological Sciences, College of Applied Medical Sciences at King Saud University concluded its free specialized training course, entitled "Safety and Radiation Protection in Medical Imaging" accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties with 12-hours Continuing Medical Education. This was held on Sunday and Monday, 16-17 October 2016 and targeted specialists and technicians working in the field of radiography in hospitals and research centers. Present were more than 200 male and female participants.

  Dr. Mohammed  Alkhorayef, Course Chairman and Head of the Radiological Sciences Department, confirmed the importance of these courses that served the community through the creation of a stimulating environment for effective local and regional partnership, through the joint cooperation between the college and hospitals and centers specializing in the field of radiological sciences research, in keeping with the vision and mission of King Saud University, based on cooperation and community partnership.

At the end of the session, Dr. Alkhorayef thanked all those who contributed to the success of this course and  paid  tribute to the keynote speakers: Dr. Meshari Al-Nuaimi,  Head Of Nuclear Medicine Physics Unit in Kuwait Cancer Control Center and Head of the Kuwait Medical Physics Association,Prof. Dr. Abdelmoneim Adam Sulieman, Professor of Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging, College of Applied Medical Sciences at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Al-Kharj, and Dr. Mousa Al-Duaij, Kuwait Cancer Control Center. 

Dr Alkhorayef also gave his thanks to the Dean of the College, Deputies and Director of the unit of the Community Service and Continuing Education for their continuous support to the activities in the College, and he thanked all colleagues for organizing  this event.
