The EEC visit to the College of computer and information sciences

In the presence of Dr. Yusuf Bin Abdo Asiri, King Saud University vice rector for planning and development, the officials of the EEC-HES visited the Faculty of computer and information sciences on Sunday 15/1/2017 in order to ensure the overall accreditation readiness. On this regard, the dean Dr. Mansour bin Abdulaziz bin Zuair confirmed the importance of the visit and college readiness.

The vice dean for development and quality, Dr. Ahmad Saad Al-mogren, appreciated the efforts of all colleagues; the heads and members of committees of accreditation teams. The EEC representative Dr. Greg Maffet discussed the criteria related to the mission and strategic plans for the five college programs and discussed the self study and annual reports and the measured key performance indicators. Also, the panel was briefed on some documents and supporting evidences. The team (the college and the EEC) then toured college and its units including the classrooms and labs. At the end of the visit, the members reviewed the notes which looked on the whole positive college readiness to receive the external evaluation team, and therefore the remaining visits are scheduled as follows:

1. Eligibility Visit: January 15, 2017. (done)

2. Prep. Visit: Monday, March 6th 2017 Note: the Final Documents for external reviewers should be shared with the EEC representative by 2nd of March 2017.

3. Formal Accreditation Visit: May 7 – 11, 2017. The external reviewers will arrive on Friday May 5, 2017 and have an orientation with the EEC on Saturday May 6, 2017.
