Common First Year Students Visit to Diriyah Total Rehabilitation

The Student Activities Unit represented in the Student Work Project arranged a field visit for the social responsibility club students to Diriyah total rehabilitation center. The visit aimed to raising the students’ awareness about the role played by the government institutions to serve citizens.

The visit also aimed to introduce the category served by the center as well as the services provided. The center renders services to people with mental and physical disability. It deals with the psychological problems facing these people in social interactions, methods of providing protective, preventive, and rehabilitation services, programs to develop the disabled capabilities, with a view to integrating them into daily life and minimizing the negative impact of disability.

The one-hour tour took students to the center’s lobbies where they met all cases and knew the health and physical services rendered as well as food and recreation.

Students sympathized with the center’s cases and appreciated the necessity of engaging them into the society academically, professionally, and socially as a key foundation and important element to build the nation.
