Within the strategic directives of King Saud University which seeks to establish partnerships between the public sector and the private sector, in compliance with Saudi Arabia’s National Vision 2030, under the auspices of Prof. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Rector of King Saud University, and with the attendance of Major General, Mohammad bin Ali Al-Asmari, Director General of the General Directorate of Prisons and Colonel Ali bin Fayez Al-Omari, a cooperation agreement was signed on Monday, 3rd of Shaban 1440 AH with the General Directorate of Prisons at the Community College of King Saud University. Prof. Abdullah bin Atia Al-Zahrani signed on behalf of the rector of King Saud University.

The agreement aims at reinforcing partnerships between King Saud University represented by the Community College and the General Directorate of Prisons in Riyadh in the field of social responsibility. The agreement is an important step to enhance the participation of national educational institutions in rehabilitation programs based on abilities. The agreement targets the post-care program at Riyadh prison.

Another cooperation agreement was also signed with Riyadh Chamber with the presence of Head of the chamber Mr. Ajlan Al-Jalan, Secretary General of the chamber Mr. Naser Abu Hameed and Member of Riyadh region and Head of Social Responsibility Committee at the Chamber Mr. Fahad Al-Hammadi with the aim of reinforcing the common denominators between both parties in the field of social responsibility through strengthening ties and consecrating efforts between the Community College and the Social Responsibility Committee at Riyadh Chamber in the field of social responsibility which reflects positively on economic and social development.

It is worth mentioning that the two agreements were signed during an inaugural ceremony of the new location of the Community College. On this occasion, Prof. Abdullah bin Atia Al-Zahrani expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Prof. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Rector of King Saud University, for supporting the college, sponsoring the inaugural ceremony of the new location of the college and signing these agreements whose fruits will be reaped by society soon.
