The Role of Vaccination in the Prevention of Communicable Diseases

Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Ghada Bin Saif, the Communicable Disease Vaccination Research Chair in KSU’s Female Student Campus organized an event entitled "The Role of Vaccination in the Prevention of Communicable Diseases" which comes in coincide with the International Infection Prevention Week. The Research Chair’s Supervisor, Dr. Ebtesam Al- Olayan, emphasized the importance of this event in promoting public health and praised the significant role of infection prevention experts in this field.

The event included panel sessions, lectures and an exhibition with the participation of medical colleges, KSU Medical City, and clinics. During the event, a number of distinguished faculty members held panel discussions focusing on the importance of vaccination in protecting public health and preventing communicable disease. Additionally, a variety of lectures were held on the attitude of Ministry of Health towards infection control in accordance with the goals of 2030 Vision, the policies of general infection prevention and precautions, most recent developments in communicable disease control and prevention’s research, and finally the constraints of antibiotic production.
