Scouting is one of the student activities in the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university and an accredited member of the Saudi Arabian Scouts. Scout is composed of youth ranging in age from 18 to 25 years old, and draws its principles and values from the Islamic religion and its provisions.

The scout motto is (public service and community development) which aims to achieve scouting principles, contribute to the service and development of society, strengthen the principle of cooperation, develop talents and intellectual and scientific capabilities. Also, to satisfy psychological and social needs, and qualify scouts to take responsibility and make decisions. Their mission is to build distinguished leaders who contribute to the development of society through action learning in a developmental and supportive environment.

Over 30 years, the King Saud University scout has been involved in serving pilgrims and other volunteer programs at local and international levels such as; environmental camps, Umrah service camps, Hajj public service camps, training and preparatory camps.

It is also an honor that this inauguration coincides with the celebration of the 91st National Day of my dear Kingdom.”
