KSU Participates in ‘Empowering Women and Their Developmental Role in the Era of King Salman’

     Under the patronage of Princess Fahda bint Falah Al-Hithlain, King Saud University participated in the conference ‘Empowering Women and Their Developmental Role in the Era of King Salman’ held at the Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University over three days, from 23-25th November 2021. 

On behalf of HRH, the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, inaugurated the conference with the participation of sixty representatives from several governmental, private sectors and universities.

During his visit to KSU exhibition booth, His Excellency expressed his pride in KSU’s substantial female accomplishments.

The Vice-Rector for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Ghadah bin Saif, emphasized the importance of these conferences in serving the country. She expressed her pride in the rich history of KSU’s female accomplishments and aspirations that keep pace with the national developments.

KSU participated in the accompanied exhibition with a booth displaying the leading contributions of its female staff in different developmental fields. It also presented two research centers about robotics field: Center of Smart Robotics Research and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Center of Advanced Studies (Thakaa). In addition, students project were exhibited (including: a sign-language performing robot that translates text and spoken words into sign language, and a medical robotic hand used in surgery).

The booth was widely attended as KSU is one of the leading pioneers to offer higher education opportunities for women, give women leading positions, and receive scientific and research awards.
