My University, My Responsibility

Under the patronage of the Vice rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Ghada bint Abdulaziz bin Saif, and under the supervision of the Supervisor of Disability Service Center, Ms. Mai bint Abdulrahman Al-Fakhri,  Disability Service  Center organized in the Female’s College Campus “My College, My responsibility” activity celebrating the International Day of Disabled International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday December 7th,2021.

 

The exhibition  featured  a number of exhibitors , each of which showcased their services and activities, including: Disability Service  Center, and their goal  which aimed at spreading awareness about the Center in general and disability groups persons with disability in particular through various ways ,the most important of which, is  ( I have rights ) cart that roamed around the campus to spread knowledge. Additionally, there were an experience-based interactive corner aiming to know their feelings in a realistic and tangible way, and an art corner that exhibited the art work of people with disabilities. Furthermore, 14 deanships and colleges participated to present activities, ideas, and initiatives that serve people with disabilities and facilitate their lives.
 

A dialogue session was held to discuss the rights of students with disabilities, clarify the role of the University in facilitating services for them, and the importance of preserving their rights and dignity.

The importance of this celebration lies in the enforcing the rights, well-being and full participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life, and promoting equality with others.
