The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Al-Javen, Launches the “Aortic Aneurysm” Campaign

This morning, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafn, launched the “Aortic Aneurysm” campaign, supervised by the Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology Unit in the Department of Surgery and organized by the students of the College’s Medical Club. The launch took place in the Plaza Hall with the aim of enriching the community with knowledge and raising awareness about this condition, in the presence of the Head of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-Tuwaijri, the Head of the Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology Unit, Dr. Sultan Al-Sheikh, and faculty members of the department.
The campaign covers several important topics, including an introduction to aortic aneurysms, risk factors, symptoms, the dangers of leaving the condition untreated, and therapeutic interventions to save patients, including treatment methods through medication or surgery.
This initiative reflects the College of Medicine’s commitment, through its students, to spreading knowledge, raising community awareness, and fostering a culture of giving.
