Under the patronage of His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of King Saud University, Mr. Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, the First Training Forum (Tamkeen X) will be launched under the theme “Your Skills Shape Your Future”, at King Saud University from January 19 to 21, 2026.

The organization of this forum reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to invest in human capital, develop capabilities, and enhance its role in community service, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the key programs of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Acting President of King Saud University, Professor Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Masmali, emphasized that investing in human capital and developing human capabilities are among the university’s strategic priorities. This is achieved through adopting high-impact initiatives that keep pace with rapid changes in training and professional development. He noted that the First Training Forum (Tamkeen X) embodies this vision as a platform that enhances academic and administrative practices and strengthens institutional performance efficiency.

He added that the forum provides a space for integrating efforts, exchanging expertise, and building effective partnerships that support the development of the university’s operational ecosystem. This, in turn, improves the quality of outputs and services and reaffirms the university’s commitment to sustainable development pathways and the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

In this context, Mr. Abdulmajeed AlQusaibi, Chief Human Resources Officer at King Saud University, stated that investment in human capital is the cornerstone of institutional excellence. This principle formed the foundation for launching the First Training Forum (Tamkeen X), reinforcing the role of the Deanship of Human Resources as a strategic partner in capability development and ensuring alignment between training and development efforts and the university’s needs and priorities.

He explained that the forum aligns with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program under Saudi Vision 2030 by preparing national competencies capable of competing and leading the future. This is achieved by promoting a culture of continuous training, linking training to career development pathways, enhancing empowerment through high-quality programs that address skills gaps, supporting transformation initiatives, and enabling talents to keep pace with rapid changes. He concluded by affirming the university’s aspiration to build a sustainable institutional training and development ecosystem, measured by its impact on performance and future readiness, in line with Vision 2030.

For her part, Dr. Rania AlJadeed, Dean of the Deanship of Skills Development at King Saud University, expressed her pleasure at the launch of the first edition of Tamkeen X, describing it as a platform that brings together the university’s training and development ecosystem under the theme “Your Skills Shape Your Future.” She noted that the forum is founded on a firm belief that investing in people is the cornerstone of institutional transformation at the university.

She also emphasized that capability development goes beyond delivering training programs to building an integrated training ecosystem and a practical learning experience whose impact can be measured through performance and reflected in the quality of academic and administrative work, as well as community impact. She explained that the forum focuses on developing the capabilities of university staff based on actual training needs, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development within the academic environment, and expanding programs that meet labor market requirements.

Dr. AlJadeed added that the forum includes panel discussions featuring prominent speakers, inspirational keynote addresses, specialized workshops, and the presentation of flagship initiatives, in addition to an accompanying exhibition with several local and international partners, enhancing opportunities for integration and impactful partnerships. She affirmed that this first edition represents a starting point for a sustainable institutional training journey, strengthening King Saud University’s position as a national leading model in human capability development.
