The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar bin Nasser Al-Juffen, honored today, Wednesday, May 5, 2026, the student Renad bint Musaad Al-Hussein, an intern student at the college, during the convening of the College Council, in recognition of her first-place achievement in the Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Award for Excellence and Creativity in its fourth edition; under the Student Excellence category (Distinguished University Student category) at the Riyadh region level.
The crowning of student Renad with first place came after distinguished competition that included an elite group of university and college students from accredited institutions. The participants were evaluated according to precise criteria that included academic excellence, qualitative achievements, and creative initiatives, reflecting her distinction as one of the most prominent student models in the region.
Student Renad Al-Hussein is considered one of the intern students at the College of Medicine, where she is distinguished by an outstanding academic record and qualitative scientific and extracurricular contributions, which contributed to achieving this honorable accomplishment, reflecting the quality of the college’s outcomes and the excellence of its students.
For his part, Dr. Al-Juffen emphasized that this recognition comes as part of the college’s support for its outstanding students and its encouragement for them to continue achieving accomplishments, noting that the student’s first-place achievement represents a source of pride and honor for the college and its members.
The student Renad expressed her thanks and appreciation to the College of Medicine for this recognition, affirming that this achievement will be a motivation for her to continue excellence and giving in her academic and professional journey, and to serve the الوطن in the health field.
The Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Award for Excellence and Creativity is considered one of the leading initiatives aimed at spreading a culture of excellence and innovation, motivating individuals and institutions, and creating a competitive environment that supports creativity in the Riyadh region, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. It also plays a role in discovering and nurturing national talents and developing human capabilities according to global standards. The (Distinguished University Student) category is awarded to undergraduate students enrolled full-time who have completed no less than 75% of their study plans in accredited universities and colleges, in addition to students of technical colleges, within a framework that enhances competitiveness and excellence.
