In the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Bandar Al-Jafan, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mona Mohammed Suleiman, and the Vice Dean for Female Students’ Affairs, Dr. Hanaa Al-Bulaehi, the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit, affiliated with the College’s Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs, organized today, Sunday, December 21, 2025, an introductory meeting for first- and second-year medical students in the main hall of the college. The meeting aimed to prepare and appropriately welcome students, introduce them to the unit and the academic services provided, the types of available support, and to equip them with the necessary skills to deal with academic and psychological pressures.

The program included a lecture entitled: Why does a student need academic guidance? And how to deal with pressure? delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jaafar, Head of the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit, along with members of the unit. The lecture reviewed policies and procedures, the difficulties students may face and how to deal with them, and the available support to enhance students’ academic and personal experience.

This meeting comes as part of a series of initiatives implemented by the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit to strengthen communication with students and facilitate their positive and effective integration into the university environment.
