As part of ongoing efforts to prepare medical students for future national examinations, the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mona Mohammed Suleiman, inspected the readiness of the examination halls designated for the 18th Progress Test, held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at the College of Medicine. The test is organized by Qassim University for medical colleges across the Kingdom and includes the participation of first- through fifth-year medical students.

The visit aimed to ensure full preparedness and optimal testing conditions, enabling students to effectively prepare for academic challenges, achieve their best performance, review their results, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and benchmark their performance at both local and regional levels. Continuous practice and follow-up are key components in enhancing outcomes.

The Progress Test is a comprehensive assessment designed to measure students’ foundational and clinical knowledge across various medical disciplines, allowing them to systematically monitor their academic development and evaluate their scientific competence on a regular basis.

The examination aligns with the Saudi MEDs competency framework and is fully mapped to the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) blueprint for the SMLE examination.
