Minister of Health Honors Professor Ahmed Bahammam for Winning the 2025 Arab Physician Award in Scientific Research and Innovation

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahad bin Abdulrahman AlJalajel, honored Professor of Sleep Medicine at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, Professor Ahmed bin Salem Bahammam, on the occasion of winning the Arab Physician Award 2025 in the Scientific Research and Innovation category. The award is one of the most prestigious Arab healthcare awards presented under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, in recognition of his outstanding scientific and research contributions to advancing medical knowledge and fostering innovation in the healthcare sector.

The recognition took place during a meeting between His Excellency the Minister of Health and the winners of the Arab Physician Award 2025, where the Minister congratulated Professor Bahammam on this achievement and praised his scientific and research efforts, which have contributed to supporting the journey of research and innovation and enhancing the Kingdom’s standing in the health and scientific fields.

For his part, Professor Ahmed Bahammam expressed his pride in receiving this recognition, emphasizing that the achievement was made possible by the grace of God and by the support provided to researchers and academics in the Kingdom, as well as the stimulating scientific and research environment for excellence and creativity offered by King Saud University. He extended his gratitude to the Minister of Health for the congratulations and recognition, to King Saud University, and to all colleagues and researchers who shared this scientific journey with him.

He noted that this recognition represents an appreciation of all members of the College of Medicine at King Saud University and reflects the collective efforts of faculty members and researchers in supporting scientific research and innovation and contributing to the development of healthcare and knowledge outcomes. Professor Bahammam further explained that the recognition serves as an incentive for young medical professionals to continue pursuing excellence and innovation in scientific research, stressing that investing in national talents and empowering researchers is the path toward achieving further scientific accomplishments that serve the nation, advance the healthcare sector, and strengthen the Kingdom’s presence in regional and international scientific forums.
