The Department of Anatomy at the College of Medicine welcomed 13 students participating in the Mawhiba Summer Program under the Medical and Surgical Sciences Track on Monday, July 13, 2026, during an educational visit to the department. The visit was held as part of the strategic partnership between King Saud University and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

The visit included tours of the Educational and Clinical Anatomy Hall, the Anatomy Museum, and the Stem Cell Unit, where students were introduced to practical applications of anatomy in an educational and clinical setting. Through real-life anatomical specimens, models, and case-based learning, the program aimed to deepen students' understanding of human anatomy, bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, enrich their scientific knowledge, develop their skills, and inspire greater interest in health-related disciplines.

Dr. Samirah bint Yaseen Shaheen, Chair of the Department of Anatomy, welcomed the participating students and emphasized that such high-quality educational experiences enrich the learning journey of gifted students, expose them to practical applications in medical sciences, and motivate them to pursue excellence in both academic and research fields.

The visit is part of the Mawhiba Summer Programs implemented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity in partnership with King Saud University. The programs aim to enrich the knowledge of gifted students, develop their capabilities, and enable them to explore promising scientific fields.
