Chairman of King Saud University Board Meets with Members of the University’s Scientific Council

His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Saud University, met with members of the University’s Scientific Council to discuss ways to develop the research ecosystem, improve the quality of research outcomes, and strengthen the University’s role in research and innovation as part of its ongoing transformation journey.

The discussion covered the development of scientific awards, support for high-achieving students, and the recruitment of outstanding talent.

His Highness emphasized the importance of research ethics and academic integrity, as well as strengthening the University’s research standing locally and internationally. He also highlighted the need to expand international collaboration and knowledge exchange, assess the performance of research centers and endowed research chairs, and review their priorities.

The meeting included an open discussion, during which His Highness received questions and comments from Scientific Council members and exchanged views on advancing the research ecosystem and promoting academic and research excellence at the University.
