This week, KSU Rector Abdullah Al-Othman formalized a cooperative project with Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity, Abdullah Al-Hussein. Also present at the signing of the contract was Abderrahman Al-Zamil of the University’s Al-Zamil Group Research Chair for Water and Electricity Conservation. The project is part of the Research Chairs Program recently launched by the University, and an important undertaking aimed at developing international standards for Saudi industry through the transfer and adoption of technology. The contract will also promote the development of partnership between state institutions and the community, the strengthening of Saudi research potential at the national and international levels, and the cultivation of a generation of researchers and graduate studies students in the various scientific disciplines.
Dr. Al-Othman took the opportunity to express his appreciation and gratitude to the Al-Zamil Group for taking the initiative to establish these and other partnership ties in the field of scientific research with King Saud University.
